WHAT DO WE DO?
First we get the fixed joints moving again. We achieve this with
a specially designed handset powered by compressed air that
uses four touch-sensitive 'fingers' to get the joints moving by a
gentle and progressively firmer counter rotation movement.
We call this 'mobilisation'.

Then we treat the small muscles associated with the fixed joints.
When a joint is immobilised, the associated muscle passively adapts
to the new position and, since it now has nothing to do, it slowly
weakens through lack of exercise. We wake up these dormant
'posture' muscles with the same handset by tapping the reflexes.
The power provided by the compressed air allows us to do this
quickly and effectively. We refer to this as 'reflex'.

Finally, these muscles need to be strengthened. We prescribe a
simple routine of strengthening exercises - we call them 'walk tall'
exercises - to help you achieve this. We have a brochure that
describes these simple exercises.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Usually patients experience a general felling of well-being and
sometimes a slight giddiness. The spine can be sore or
uncomfortable for a while as it comes to terms with the changes.
THE TREATMENT PLAN
On the first visit, we go through your medical history and explain
exactly how we might be able to help. There are a very few
situations where we would not consider this treatment appropriate
for instance pregnant women or people with severe
rheumatoid arthritis.

The patient lies on a specially designed bench with a comfortable
neck support while the Spring-Back practitioner skillfully works on
the spine, feeling the responce of every joint and continuously
adjusting touch to restore mobility.

ARE THE RESULTS IMMEDIATE?
It usually takes a short course of treatments to restore the spring
to the spine. To maintain suppleness and spring, a regular
six-monthly top-up treatment is highly recommended.

Spring-Back treatment has been successful in treating a wide range
of painful conditions that affect quality of life, including:

Sciatica

Lower back pain

Neck Pain

Tingling or severe pain in the arms and legs

Loss of good posture

Tiredness and headaches

Frozen shoulder

Impaired performance at work and in sports
       and leisure activities
